  4. The 42nd Amendment Act of 1976 is known as Mini Constitution

  6. The Indian Constitution is both flexible and rigid.
  7. The handwritten document is preserved in special helium-filled cases at the Indian Parliament's library. 
  8. It is a Sovereign,  Socialist , Secular, Democratic, Republic with a parliamentary system of government.
  9.  It was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on November 26, 1949 , and It came into effect on January 26, 1950
  10. India celebrates its constitution on 26 January as Republic Day
  11. The Constitution of India provides its citizens with 6 fundamental rights and 11 fundamental duties. 
  12. Its two Houses are known as the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) and the House of the People (Lok Sabha).
