Chapter # 1: Value of Money 

1. processor : a part of a computer that controls all the other parts of the system ; ਪ੍ਰੋਸੈਸਰ - I can use a word processor. 
2. intrigued : interested ; ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਹੋਣਾ - I was intrigued by her intellect.
3. review : analysis; ਸਮੀਖਿਆ - Let us review this book.
4. feature : an important part of something; ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਤਾ - My mobile has many nice features.
5. ultimate : best ; ਸਰਬੋਤਮ -Perfection should be our ultimate goal. 
6. limitations: hindrances ; ਸੀਮਾਵਾਂ - My laptop has certain limitations. 
7. consumerist:  a person who gives too much attention to buying and owning things; ਉਪਭੋਗਤਾਵਾਦੀ - Be a good consumerist. 
8. obsessed: excessive concern; ਜਨੂਨ - He's obsessed with television. 
9. storage : the place where you put things ; ਭੰਡਾਰਨ - There is a lot of storage in the attic
10. investing: to spend money on something to gain profit ; ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ -Investing all the money in business isn't a good idea.

Chapter # 2: The Earth Needs You 

1. single-use : used for one time ; ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ - Avoid the use of single-use plastic. 
2. lasts : lives ; ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ - Good deed lasts forever. 
3. forever: permanently ; ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ - I will forever be grateful to God.
4. oceans: the largest water bodies; ਮਹਾਂਸਾਗਰ - There are five oceans in the world. 
5. tangles:  gets caught; ਫਸ ਜਾਣਾ - Heena always tangles her golden hair.  
6. travel : go from place to place ; ਥਾਂ-ਥਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਜਾਣਾ - I like to travel by train.

  Chapter # 3: The Aged Mother        

1. despotic: dictorial ; ਨਿਰੰਕੁਸ਼ - The Governor was a despotic leader.  
2. humble: gentle;  ਨਿਮਰ - Always be humble and kind.
3. suggestive: that suggests an idea; ਸੁਝਾਅ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ - I read a suggestive book about it.
4. reckless: careless; ਲਾਪਰਵਾਹ - Ramanpreet was a reckless driver.
5. failing: a weakness: ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰੀ - Pride is a terrible failing.
6. snapped: broke ; ਤੋੜਿਆ - The strings of my guitar were snapped by me.
7. prompted: provoked ; ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ - He prompted me to visit the book fair.
8. hastened: hurriedly; ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ਼- We hastened back to home.
9. barbarous: extremely cruel; ਜ਼ਾਲਮ - Leaving the aged alone is a barbarous act.
10. blaze : flame ; ਜਵਾਲਾ  -The sudden blaze blinded him.
11. abandoning: leave ; ਤਿਆਗਣਾ- Abandoning the old car was a good idea.
12. abolished:put an end to ; ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ -The dowry system should be abolished. 
13. widowed:ਵਿਧਵਾ-Her widowed mother lives a peaceful life.
14. frailty: disability; ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰੀ - Physical frailty can never stop her from working hard.
