Sentence A sentence is a group of words which makes complete sense. Here are some examples: We love our country.  Where is my book? Wait for me. What a fine hit! May you win the race! 📌 Remember :  Every sentence begins with a capital letter. A full stop or period (.) is placed at the end of every imperative or assertive sentence. A mark of exclamation (!) is placed at the end of every optative or exclamatory sentence. A question mark (?) is placed at the end of every interrogative sentence. Kinds of Sentences : 1. Assertive sentence : An assertive sentence is the one that makes a statement or assertion. It may be affirmative or negative and positive sentence.  Examples: This pen is very costly. I have not seen this picture. I get up early in the morning. You pray to God everyday. I should stick to my promise. 2. Adjectives | Three Degrees of Adjectives | Let's play with degrees of comparison  Page # 60, 61, 62, 63 & 64 An adjective is a word that describes a noun or a pronoun and adds to the quality of the noun. Describing words are called adjectives.  Example- tall boy There can be other describing words such as-fat,short, etc. Adjectives can be used to compare the qualities in a person animal or thing. Examples :  1. Harry is a tall boy. 2. Vishal is taller than Harish.  3. Vicky is the tallest. In the sentences above, there is a comparison of the quality i.e. tall. In English grammar,  it is called degrees of comparison. It means that two or more people or things are compared for having a quality and to assess who has more of that quality.
