Dear Readers, Today I am going to throw some light on Comprehension Passage which is an important part of Reading Section. It occupies a special place in many competitive exams too. Often I find that students either ignore it or give it less importance. Reason may be any. If you are unable to attempt it, well, read my tips. Understand what the writer wants to say and conclude. 3. Passage can be based on any fact, quality, event, character, idea or opinion . 4. Read each question carefully before attempting it. 2. Mention Section (A, B, C, D, E) and Question no. clearly and legibly. 3. Try to attempt the paper in a serial order ( 1 to 9). 4. First impression is the last impression. So, if you choose to attempt the questions you know very well, you can. It hardly creates any problem. But mention the section and question no. clearly. 5. Leave a line after every answer. But not in case of Objective Type Questions - It looks odd there. 6. Avoid cutting . But don't worry if it happens. During my 16 years of teaching period , I have come across the conclusion that two types of assessments matter a lot to make headway in the performance of the learners. 1. Teacher Assessment : A teacher can adopt a zillion of methods to assess and revamp the overall performance of his pupils. One such method is giving tests. Let it be daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or annually. Mainting its record can play a wonderful role. 2. Self Assessment : When a student assesses his performance in every single test, he must put his invaluable insight to look for his weaknesses and adopt some useful skills to subdue his fears.
