1. PARAGRSPH

Incident: Narrate a situation when your parents offered you money in exchange for doing something.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to buy a smartphone. When I asked my parents for one, they told me that I would have to earn the money myself. I happily accepted the challenge. I started doing small chores around the house, such as washing dishes, cleaning my room, and watering the plants. I also saved my pocket money carefully. By the end of the month, I had earned enough to buy a second-hand smartphone with my hard-earned money. I was on cloud nine. That experience taught me the value of hard work and saving money. It also made me feel more responsible and independent.

Dear Harleen

I am in excellent health. What about you? Today I am writing to tell you why it is important to stop using single-use plastic. Nowadays the use of single-use plastic is on the rise. It is used every day on many occasions. Its use is increasing day by day, which is a matter of concern. It is non-biodegradable. It is harmful for our earth and its habitats. It can be found everywhere. Stray animals often eat it and die. It chokes drains and pollutes soil, water, and air. Some immediate and strict actions are required: The government should ban its production. Its use at public functions should be limited. Awareness campaigns can be run. I hope you will strongly agree with me. Write to me soon.

Yours affectionately
