👉 ਡਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਆਮ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ।
ii) Dadhichi took no time in laying down his life.
👉 ਦਧੀਚੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਨਿਛਾਵਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਸਮਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਇਆ।
iii) The stranger asked him again.
👉 ਅਜਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ।
iv) Stars twinkle, planets do not.
👉 ਤਾਰੇ ਟਿਮਟਿਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ।
7 (b) Translate any three (Punjabi/Hindi → English)
i) ਕਾਸ਼! ਮੈਂ ਅਮੀਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ / काश! मैं अमीर होता।
👉 I wish I were rich.
ii) ਕੀ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਕੂਲ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ?

iii) ਬਕਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ / बकवास मत करो।
👉 Don’t talk nonsense.
iv) ਹਾਥੀ ਦੇ ਦੰਦ ਖਾਣ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ।
👉 All that glitters is not gold.
v) ਇੱਧਰ-ਉੱਧਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੋ।
👉 Don’t beat around the bush; come to the point.
8. Do as directed (10 marks)
i) She knows many languages.

iii) You must be home by 11 o’clock.
iv) Though we had limited means, we were honest.
v) Combine using a non-finite verb:

vi) Transform using what:
