Sentence A sentence is a group of words which makes complete sense.Here are some examples: We love our country. Where is my book? Wait for me. What a fine hit! May you win the race! π Remember : Every sentence begins with a capital letter. A full stop or period (.) is placed at the end of every imperative or assertive sentence. A mark of exclamation (!) is placed at the end of every optative or exclamatory sentence. A question mark (?) is placed at the end of every interrogative sentence. Kinds of Sentences : 1. Assertive sentence : An assertive sentence is the one that makes a statement or assertion. It may be affirmative or negative and positive sentence. Examples: This pen is very costly. I have not seen this picture. I get up early in the morning. You pray to God everyday. I should stick to my promise. 2.
